THEORETICAL:
To attend this workshop you do not need any prior knowledge in coating techniques, only interest and willingness to learn one of the most wonderful decorative art techniques in existence.
The purpose of this class is to teach the skills and discipline necessary to install Glassello lime plaster at perfect glass level and gloss. By the end of the class each artist student will have learned the progress of proper preparation, application and successful completion of the glass marble Italian plaster at expert level. The artist will learn disciplinary skill sets that will challenge their previous knowledge of application of lime plasters, and will bring into focus the necessary steps, both mentally and physically, that are involved in the execution of a perfect glass marble finish of Italian plaster. Students will explore the process of tinting and will discuss and use proper tools and equipment and learn how to care for them. This breakthrough technique will elevate the students knowledge and respect for this timeless finish. Through this innovative process of priming, applying lime plasters and compression, the student will gain a new understanding of evaluating the materials during application to achieve perfect and amazing results.
The courses primary focuses will be to teach the student proper compression technique to achieve a glass marble finish, as well as the discipline necessary for the process.

This will be a group setting but each student will be instructed personally by master artist Eli Lucero
All tools are provided to the student for use during the class.
The class size minimum is 15 students the maximum is 30
This is an intermediate to advanced level class. Knowledge of trowel application is highly recommended.
The student will prepare and execute two complete samples by the end of the class
Samples will be 2' x 2' half-
Class price does not include travel
METHODOLOGY:
To allow students the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the materials and learn application. Students will apply exercises and learn to work in different contexts; decoration, restoration, art, construction. They will proceed following a trial and error exercise so that they can learn how to correct setbacks should they occur.
